About the studio

Hi, we're Kathryn & Cayden.

KC Rawson Studio is a small, family-run art studio in Utah. Kathryn is the painter. She works in mixed media, mostly watercolor and gouache layered with pencil, acrylic markers and alcohol markers. She also paints digitally and works in graphite, acrylic, oil and even sculpture.

She paints cozy, everyday subjects: fruit on the table, animals, quiet landscapes, and portraits of the people she loves. Every commission gets the same care she gives her own sketchbook.

[Bio details TBD: a sentence about Cayden's role in the studio, how long Kathryn has been painting, and anything personal you'd like clients to know.]

Frequently asked questions

How long does a commission take?

[Turnaround TBD, e.g. 2–4 weeks after the sketch is approved.] If you have a deadline, like a birthday or holiday, put it in the form and we'll tell you up front whether we can meet it.

What kind of reference photos work best?

Clear, well-lit photos taken at eye level work best, ideally in natural light. Send a few: one for the overall look, and close-ups of details like eyes, markings or a favorite expression.

Can I request a specific medium?

Yes. Watercolor and gouache are the signature style, and you can also request pencil, markers, acrylic or digital. If you're not sure, we'll suggest the medium that suits your subject.

How does payment work?

[Payment terms TBD, e.g. a 50% deposit to begin and the balance before delivery. Accepted payment methods TBD.]

Do you ship?

[Shipping details TBD.] Local pickup in Utah may also be available.
